What do you do when you get bored with your workouts? Maybe you switch up your routine and try a new type of exercise, or perhaps you take a break from working out altogether? Don’t worry – there are plenty of ways to spice up your routine without making it too complicated!
We all know that feeling. That sense of boredom and monotony creeps upon us as we slog through our workouts and diets. We've done the same thing so many times, with little variation, that we're starting to feel like a hamster on a wheel. And while there's nothing wrong with sticking to a routine for a while, eventually, we need to switch things up to see continued results.
So how do you keep your fitness up when it gets boring?
The first thing you can do to keep up with your routine is reaching out to someone, whether a friend or a family member. Get an accountability buddy, Try working out with a friend or joining a group fitness class. Both will provide social support and can also make time fly by!
Health is more than just an exercise, as human connection and actively participating are also vital for your mental health and overall wellbeing. If you’re more of a solitary exerciser, change up your scenery by working out outdoors or at different times of the day.
Put something new in your routine, for example mix it up with different days, movements, or locations. You can do a leg day at a gym or rent a bike and go to a park; you can do some hiking or trail riding during weekends.

Also remember that nutritious foods do not have to be bland and boring. Explore different kinds of spices and sauces! Adding a little extra new flavor to the same old chicken breast will totally surprise your taste buds!
